Multi-institutes and projects joined force in Japan and China showcasing systems, tools, and services offered by Excellence in Breeding (EiB) Platform, High Throughput Genotyping (HTPG) Platform, and Genomic Open-source Breeding bioinformatic initiative (GOBii) from late May to Mid-June, 2019 in Japan and China. Representatives include Excellence in Breeding Genotyping Service Tools and Services Manager, Dr. Enghwa Ng, Lead Developer, Yaw Nti-Addae, Application Specialist and Workshop Coordinator, Dr. Star Yanxin Gao, International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) Scientists, Dr. Rajaguru Bohar and Dr. Hima Kupuda, and International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) Scientist, Xuecai Zhang.

1st GOBii workshop in Japan: invited and hosted by University of Tokyo: Yaw and Star from GOBii project showcased GOBii system and tools in Japan May 31- June 4. Participants represent commercial companies, government, universities, and research agencies across Japan.
